Welcome

Hi, I’m Julien Lacaille, PhD, a clinical psychologist in private practice in Montréal.

I help people find lasting relief from emotional and relational patterns that feel stuck or hard to shift, using an experiential approach that works at the root of these difficulties.

Healing at the Root

I offer psychotherapy that focuses on what’s keeping you stuck, so symptoms can ease by addressing their underlying causes. Many of the patterns people struggle with—anxiety, low mood, feeling shut down—developed for understandable reasons earlier in life.

In therapy, we slow things down and pay attention to what’s happening inside you, emotionally and in your body, so these patterns can begin to shift at a deeper level. The goal is meaningful, lasting change that carries through into your day-to-day life, not just temporary relief.

Who I Help

I work with adults who are interested in engaging in meaningful, in-depth psychotherapy and who are experiencing:

  • Ongoing anxiety, worry, or panic

  • Depressed mood, low self-esteem, or self-criticism

  • Dissociation and emotional numbing

  • The impact of developmental or relational trauma

Note: My practice focuses exclusively on individual psychotherapy for adults who are not actively in crisis.
